At the international forum Army-2021, the Kalashnikov concern presented a new S-8L guided missile. Its peculiarity is that it can be used on unmanned aerial vehicles.

For example, on unmanned helicopters. The research and production enterprise “Strela” is engaged in the development of this. At the forum, the concern demonstrated at its stand a UAV, on which three S-8L missiles have already been installed.

According to the first deputy general director of the company, Andrey Semyonov, missiles can destroy both single and group mobile and fixed targets. The S-8L has a semi-active laser homing head, as well as a high-explosive fragmentation warhead. The missile's range is 6 kilometers.

This is not the only new product from Kalashnikov today. The concern also spoke about the KUB sea-based kamikaze drones. They will improve the combat capabilities of ships.
