EU Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas commented on the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria, noting that this demonstrates Russia's weakness and Iran.
In her message on the X social network (Twitter), Kallas called the overthrow of the Assad dictatorship “a positive and welcome development” that demonstrates the weakness of Assad's supporters – Russia and Iran.
“Our priority is to ensure security in the region. I will work with all constructive partners in Syria and the region,” the EU diplomacy chief wrote.
Recall that French President Emmanuel Macron previously commented on the fall of the Bashad al-Assad regime, stating that “the barbaric state has fallen.”
