Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov can be appointed to a leading post in the National Guard if he leaves his current post.
Although this is not the first time Kadyrov has hinted at his resignation.
This is reported by the Russian edition of Meduza, citing sources close to the presidential administration.
“One Sources close to the presidential administration told Meduza that a possible transition of Ramzan Kadyrov to a leadership position in the National Guard is currently under consideration“, the published information says.
Note that exactly The National Guard includes the Akhmat battalion, whose members, the same Kadyrovites, are now fighting against Ukraine.
At the same time, the publication noted that Kadyrov repeatedly argued letter of possible resignation. He made the corresponding statement back in 2016 before winning the elections in Chechnya. And in 2017, he stated that resignation was his dream.
Recall that Kadyrov published a video message in which he stated that he was thinking about resigning: he said that his “time has come” and “we will try to leave on time” .
Note that the day before, Russian oppositionist Mark Feigin suggests that if Sergei Shoigu is removed from the post of Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, the current head of the National Guard, Viktor Zolotov, can be appointed to this post.
