Kadyrov: Ukraine should be annexed to Russia if Zelensky does not reconsider his policy

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, believes that Ukraine should be annexed to Russia if its President Vladimir Zelensky does not reconsider his anti-Russian policy. He shared his opinion on Sunday, December 26, at a press conference in Grozny, RIA Novosti reports.
“I am deeply convinced that if Mr. Zelensky and his team behave this way, then Ukraine should be annexed to our country. Ukrainians are our people, this is our territory. This is my opinion, ”Kadyrov said.
At the same time, the head of the region noted that he was ready to solve this problem himself. “I would have joined the Chechen Republic to Ukraine, or would have taken it long ago, I would have solved the issue there. But there are state agreements that do not allow making such decisions, ”he said.
Kadyrov also stressed that Western countries have their own interests for the deployment of their military bases in Ukraine. Thus, the head of Chechnya is sure that the states are going to dictate their terms to Russia. “I'm sure our president [Vladimir Putin] won't allow that. And we – the infantry, are ready to leave and carry out the order absolutely without any problems. Because the integrity, security of the state and our people is the most important thing, ”he concluded.
Earlier, Kadyrov answered the question of whether he would run for the post of head of the republic. He said that he would think about participating in the elections for the head of the region when the time comes.
