Jorge Martin will also start from pole position in the second MotoGP race in a row in Austria. The super rookie from Spain grabbed the best position for the race at the last second on Saturday in Spielberg with the new all-time record lap of 1: 22.643 minutes. World Cup leaders Fabio Quartarao and Francesco Bagnaia will complete the front row on Sunday (2 p.m. / live ServusTV).

Jorge “Martinator” Martin had also achieved pole position on his Ducati a week earlier and then won the Styrian Grand Prix with ease. The 23-year-old MotoGP sensational riot shone again in front of the well-filled grandstands of the Red Bull Ring with a qualifying best time, although he had previously crashed in both training sessions and only made the pole decision in Q1 with knee pain. Martin is now the favorite in his seventh race in the motorcycle premier class.

For KTM, however, things are not going according to plan before the Austrian Grand Prix. After a messed up Friday, the 13th, only Brad Binder of the works drivers made it into pole qualifying. Miguel Oliveira had to make it through Q1 and is the best KTM starter on Sunday, just ahead of Binder in 9th position from the third row. The race is also Valentino Rossi's last appearance in Austria.

In Moto3, Austrian Max Kofler will start the race as 23rd from the penultimate row from 11.00 a.m. The 20-year-old KTM rider from Upper Austria achieved his top career result with ninth place last Sunday.
