Hino Motors cancels the launch of truck production in Russia.

Japanese truck and bus manufacturer Hino Motors, a subsidiary of Toyota, has abandoned plans to build its plant in Khimki, Moscow Region.

This is reported by NHK.

Delay in construction work was named as the main reason and tax issues. Initially, the company planned to expand its business in Russia by organizing local production in anticipation of a significant increase in demand for trucks in the Russian Federation.

In 2023, Hino Motors planned to begin SKD assembly of small and Hino medium duty trucks. The planned production volume is 2-3 thousand units.

Recall that the American corporation Dell leaves Russia and fires all employees.
