Once the decision is made, exports can be made to countries where the patent holders are located.

The Japanese government will consider the possibility of supplying Japanese missiles for Patriot systems to European countries that can help Ukraine.

The publication Nikkei Asia.

It is reported that Japanese authorities will update instructions on the export of defense products as early as December 22.

After this decision is made, deliveries of missiles and other equipment can be made to countries where the patent owners are located.

The publication reports that Japan will also allow recipient countries to transfer equipment to third countries with prior consent, but with the exception of those directly involved in the conflict, in particular this applies to Ukraine and Israel.

Journalists note that although this will not allow the United States to transfer Japanese missiles directly to Ukraine, Washington will have the opportunity to transfer weapons of its own production to the Ukrainians.

Japan's National Security Council intends to approve the supply of Patriot missiles to the United States this year. Washington had previously invited supplies as the number of weapons available had been significantly reduced.

Senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, Mark Cancian, said that Patriot missiles are now used by Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

“The US could supply these countries, but with some difficult trade-offs later,” Cancian said.

Recall that it was previously reported that The United States will use Patriot during joint exercises with Israel simulating an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

In addition, we previously reported that Japan has introduced a new powerful package of sanctions against Russia.
