The support package is financed by frozen Russian assets.
Japan will provide Ukraine with more than $3 billion in G7 financial assistance.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this in Telegram.
These funds are part of a $50 billion package financed by frozen Russian assets.
The EU, US and UK previously announced their participation in this initiative.
“Thank you to the Government of Japan for your solidarity. We call on all our partners to direct frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. We must make the aggressor pay,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
We remind you that Ukraine will also receive a new aid package of 500 million euros from Norway. Some of these funds will go to direct military aid.
