Japan has joined the sanctions against Russia for the war in Ukraine. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced the introduction of a new package of sanctions against Russia, in particular, we are talking about export restrictions, reports Kyodo.
According to the agency, the sanctions include a ban on the export of semiconductors to Russia and a freeze on the assets of Russian financial institutions. The agency does not indicate which structures are involved.
“A decision has also been made to suspend the issuance of a view for some Russians,” the report says.
