Japan found unreasonable the decision affected by the black rain in Hiroshima

The Japanese government has filed an appeal against the decision of the district court of the city of Hiroshima as it is considered unreasonable. It decided that the victims of the black rain should be considered as survivors of the American nuclear strikes, reports Kyodo News.

If 84 the Japanese, who were exposed to sediments with high content of radioactive materials will be recognised as “hibakusha” (the local population, have experienced a nuclear attack — approx. “Ribbon.ru”), they will be entitled to free medical care.

“We cannot say that the sentence [court of Hiroshima] is based on sufficient scientific data. In this regard we have filed an appeal against this decision”, — said the Minister of health, labour and welfare Katsunobu Kato. According to him, the government of Japan wants to revise the boundaries of special zones in Hiroshima, where I live “hibakusha” to expand them.

In late July the district court of Hiroshima has acknowledged that 84 people affected by the black rain, could be subjected to radiation — in this case, the victims filed a lawsuit five years ago. Because of the radiation some of them have developed serious illnesses, including cancer. In this regard, the court urged the Japanese government to give them free medical care. The government of Japan, in turn, repeatedly rejected initiatives to expand the zone where you live “hibakusha”: it referred to the lack of data on the development of pathologies in the suburbs of Hiroshima.
