Tishkevich recalled that Shoigu’s successor, Andrei Belousov, is considered a “liberal economist” in the Russian Federation. According to the expert, such personnel changes allow Putin to resolve policy issues in Africa.
“The African Corps will be under the wing of the Main Directorate of the General Staff (without the minister’s attempts to take it for himself), but in close cooperation with Rosatom and a group of technocrats (the Gref-Kirienko group),” says Tishkevich. < /p>
