A pipeline has caught fire at one of the world's largest gas fields in Russia.< /strong>
In the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, on the territory of the Urengoy gas field, a pipe ruptured with a diameter of 1.4 meters. The accident occurred at the Gazprom, Dobycha Urengoy site between gas fields 7-8.
This is reported by the Russian edition of Octagon.
“The fire has already been contained. Work is underway as normal”, – say the press service of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy.
It should be noted that the Urengoy field is one of the largest in the world. There are reserves of up to 10 trillion cubic meters of gas.

Recall that earlier in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation a fire broke out in a military unit. Equipment was on fire there, too.
