It's a question of reform: Stoltenberg on Ukraine's membership in NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg argues that the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO depends on the implementation of the necessary reforms.

He said this when commenting on the statement by President Volodymyr Zelensky that Ukraine's entry into the Alliance is opposed not only by the Russian Federation, but also by some members of NATO.

– Our position has not changed – the decision that was made at the summit in Bucharest remains in force. But the focus now is on reforms, to help both Ukraine and Georgia modernize their defense and security institutions, and we continue with that,” Stoltenberg said.
