It was a special operation of the KGB: the dispatcher of the airport in Minsk escaped from Belarus and told how they landed the Ryanair plane

He provided evidence that the forced landing was organized by the Belarusian intelligence.

The forced landing of the Ryanair plane in Minsk in May this year, which was carrying the Belarusian opposition journalist Roman Protasevich, was a KGB special operation, and the message about the mine was allegedly false.

According to The New York Times, citing sources in European power structures, the dispatcher of the Minsk airport Oleg Galegov, who fled from Belarus to Poland, said this.

It is noted that after escaping from Minsk he provided detailed and unconditional evidence that the Ryanair flight was forcibly landed as part of the operation to capture Protasevich, organized by the intelligence service of Belarus.

In turn, the director of the Department of National Security of Poland Stanislav Zarin said that they managed to “get the story of a direct witness of those events from the air traffic control tower in Minsk.” He says that at the time of the plane's landing, an officer of the Belarusian intelligence and security department of the KGB was on the control tower, who “at the decisive moment took control of the air traffic controller.”

The task of air traffic controller Oleg Galegov was to inform the pilot of the Ryanair plane that a bomb was planted on board and that he must stop the trip to Vilnius and land in Minsk for security reasons.

The New York Times also reported that the independent Belarusian newspaper Nasha Niva , whose website is blocked by the Lukashenka regime, wrote in July on his Telegram channel that the air traffic controller Galegov went on vacation in June and since then no one has seen him. It seems that he went to his native Georgia, where he is from, but lived and worked in Minsk because he married a Belarusian.

Recall, on May 23, a passenger flight from Athens to Vilnius was forced to board in Minsk – then the Belarusian opposition journalist Roman Protasevich and his Russian girlfriend Sofia Sapega were detained.

Roman Protasevich is an active participant in the actions against Lukashenka. The regime put the journalist on the international wanted list. He is accused of extremism and terrorism, the maximum punishment for this in Belarus is the death penalty. Protasevich has repeatedly stated that he is being watched. He is currently under house arrest in Minsk.
