The dictator refers to his busy schedule.
The dictator-president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will not go to the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil is a member of the International Criminal Court and must arrest the “Fuhrer”.
Russian Ambassador Marat Berdyev said this, RosSMI reports.
According to him, the Russian delegation in Rio de Janeiro will be headed by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, not Putin. The Kremlin does not cite the ISS as the reason for this decision.
The head of the Kremlin explained: he decided not to go to the G20 so as not to disrupt its “good work”. He also claimed to have “excellent relations” with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Note that Reuters, citing unnamed Brazilian officials, reported that Brazil had sent Putin a standard invitation to the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro on November 18-19, but had not yet received confirmation that he would attend.
As reported, in September Putin refused to fly to the inauguration of Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum. This trip was apparently not part of his plans. This country is also a party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. And it was the ISS that issued the arrest warrant for the Russian dictator.
