The American edition of Time released a statement from its management in which it said that journalist Brent Renault, who died in Irpen in the Kiev region, worked for them, his editorial task was to cover the global refugee crisis.
“We are devastated by the loss of Brent Renault. An award-winning filmmaker and journalist, Brent has filmed some of the toughest stories around the world, often alongside his brother Craig Renaud. Brent has been in the region in recent weeks working on a TIME Studios project focusing on the global refugee crisis, the statement released on Sunday, March 13, said.
The publication added that their hearts remain with those close to Brent.
“It is critical that journalists can safely cover the ongoing invasion and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine,” Time said.
