Russian Ambassador to the United States Antonov said that the persecution against Russian diplomats continues

The US authorities threatened to arrest Russian diplomats who were ordered to leave the country by the end of January. This was told by the Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov on the YouTube channel “Solovyov Live”.
He noted that 27 Russian diplomats were recently expelled from the United States. “It was said that you were recommended and ordered to leave the United States,” Antonov said. At the same time, the American side clarified that Russian diplomats would be arrested and sent “to the appropriate institution” if they remained in the country.
According to Antonov, this is the expulsion of Russian diplomats.
Earlier, Antonov said that bilateral consultations on the normalization of the work of the embassies of Russia and the United States in Vienna were held to no avail. “Unfortunately, we received a negative response at these consultations,” he said.
