American mixed style fighter (MMA) Luke Rockhold spoke about the professional plans of the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov. His words are quoted by TMZ Sports.
Rockhold said that the retired Russian wants to become his coach. He added that Nurmagomedov is going to play an important role in his comeback and become the coach of the year. “Khabib follows in the footsteps of his father. It seems to me that Khabib is ready to take on this role and continue his father's work, ”the athlete said.
The last time Rockhold entered the octagon was in July 2019. Then he lost by knockout to Pole Jan Blakhovich. The American athlete has expressed his intention to return to the sport in the near future.
On March 19, UFC President Dana White announced the official retirement of Nurmagomedov. Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira are now competing for the vacant UFC lightweight title.
