It became known about the possible loss of more than 300 thousand ballots in the United States

More than 300,000 ballots filled in by citizens and mailed may have been lost in the United States. Fox News reports.

As noted, the Postal Service was unable to track and confirm their delivery. The organization said that they managed to meet the court deadline on November 3 to inspect branches in dozens of districts across the country. “Each site has only one or two inspectors, and therefore they do not have the opportunity to personally search the entire site,” the service said.

Earlier, a group of observers went to court due to the lack of confirmation of the delivery of part of the ballots. After that, federal judge for the metropolitan area of Columbia Emmett Sullivan demanded an urgent check of information on 12 counties and deliver ballots before the deadline for their acceptance by the commissions.

It is reported that confirmation of delivery has not been received, including from several regions of the “oscillating” states (where the chances of the main candidates are equal). Among them, in particular, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. In the latter, for example, after counting 95 percent of the vote, the gap between Democrat Joe Biden and incumbent President Donald Trump is only 0.3 percent.

Mail voting in the US has been allowed due to the coronavirus pandemic. More than 65.2 million people voted in this way. At the same time, in many states, election commissions do not accept ballots that arrived after a certain set time.

General Election Day was held in the United States on November 3. Citizens elected a president and vice president, 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives. There are no final results of the presidential election yet, but incumbent leader Donald Trump has already congratulated his voters on his victory.
