Artillery from the Turkish army and its militant allies launched a missile and artillery attack on a Russian base in Syria. The March 5 incident was reported by the news agency AHNA, but the Russian-language media took notice a few days later.
According to journalists, after shelling several villages in the Al-Shahba canton, Turkish troops and their allies hit the location of the Russian Armed Forces in the Al-Shahba area with rockets and artillery. No damage or loss resulting from this impact is known, or any other details of what happened.
According to the portal Avia.pro, the strike was struck by mistake – the initial target was the Kurdish armed formations, and the positions of the Russian troops were hit by accident.
Earlier on March 10, it became known about another officially unconfirmed event on the fronts of the Syrian conflict: Russian forces allegedly attacked the Turkish-backed terrorists with a cruise missile of the Iskander complex from the Khmeimim airbase from a distance of more than 250 kilometers.
