NASA announced the approach of a huge asteroid 153201 (2000 WO107) to Earth. Its dimensions range from 370 to 820 meters, specified on the website of the NASA Center for the Study of Near-Earth Objects.
It is indicated that the asteroid will approach the Earth on November 29 and the distance between the planet and 2000 (WO107) will be more than four million kilometers. So, the distance between the Earth and the Moon is less than 10 times. However, it is still considered dangerous as it crosses the Earth's orbit.
According to the Asterank database, which carries out spectral classification of asteroids, 2000 WO107 contains nickel, iron and cobalt. The cost of minerals on an asteroid could be more than $ 17 billion, RIA Novosti writes.
