American reconnaissance aircraft, which have recently been increasingly appearing in the airspace of Ukraine, are able to view the border regions of Russia. The Voenniy Obozrevatel Telegram channel writes about this.
According to the channel, we are talking, in particular, about the reconnaissance aircraft RC-135V Rivet Joint and E-8C Joint STARS of the US Air Force (Air Force). It is noted that, in addition to the Russian regions, these aircraft can also see the entire territory of Donbass, which is under the control of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR).
On December 27, it was reported that a US Air Force RC-135V reconnaissance aircraft was spotted in the sky near Donbass. It was noted that he flew from the NATO airbase on the island of Crete, and then, entering the airspace of Ukraine, began to circle around the borders of the DPR and LPR. Prior to that, in mid-December, another RC-135V flew near the Russian borders near the Crimea and Krasnodar Territory.
In early December, Russian Su-27 and Su-30 fighters flew over the Black Sea to prevent US reconnaissance aircraft from violating Russian borders. Then the airspace control facilities discovered that the American strategic reconnaissance aircraft RC-135 of the US Air Force and the CL-600 Artemis reconnaissance and targeting aircraft were approaching the Russian border.
