Israel has banned Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia from supplying Kiev with weapons sold by Tel Aviv. A source familiar with the situation told the Breaking Defense portal about the proposed requirement.
The article of the publication emphasized that Ukraine expects to receive an Israeli anti-tank missile “Spike”. It is known that all Baltic countries have this complex in different variations.
It is assumed that Latvia has a more diverse arsenal of Israeli weapons. This state, according to Breaking Defense, has variants of anti-tank systems under the names LR, LR2, ER and SR.
Tel Aviv put forward this requirement to the Baltic countries back in December 2021. The Israeli authorities decided to resort to this measure in order not to spoil relations with Moscow.
Earlier, the representative of the German Christian Democratic Union (CDU) on foreign policy, Roderich Kiesewetter, proposed to supply weapons to Ukraine selectively. Such tactics, in his opinion, can contribute to strengthening the effect of intimidation.
