Putin understands that blackmailing with “nuclear weapons” the only thing he has left

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is once again using nuclear threats to intimidate the West and influence its policies.

This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War.

The report cites a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a naval parade in St. Petersburg, where he said that if the United States deployed missile systems to Germany in 2026, their flight time to Russian targets would be about 10 minutes. Putin also promised to take “mirror measures” and withdraw from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF).

“Putin is mistakenly trying to portray Russia's deployment of INF-banned missiles as likely part of his ongoing efforts to use nuclear saber-rattling to push the West into forced deterrence,” the report says.

Recall that earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin equated the defeat in Ukraine with the destruction of Russian statehood. And this, according to the doctrine, allows him to use nuclear weapons.
