by alex

The Kremlin seeks to take advantage of the conflict in the Middle East.

Moscow wants to use the conflict in the Middle East to advance the international structures it dominates in the region. In particular, the Kremlin is promoting the creation of an alternative “Eurasian security architecture.”

This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War ( ISW ).

It is reported that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov condemned Israel's ground operation in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah militants. He said that Russia is against what it calls “political assassinations.”

Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov said there is a need for an immediate end to the conflict, while Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called for an end to military operations in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict zone during a meeting with unnamed Arab ambassadors.

“The Kremlin is likely seeking to take advantage of the conflict in the Middle East to advance international structures dominated by Russia, including some that are linked to the Kremlin's efforts to create an alternative “Eurasian security architecture,” the ISW publication said.

Recall that it was previously reported that Israel is preparing to strike nuclear facilities Iran.

In addition, we previously reported that Defense Express assessed Iran's attack on Israel.
