ISS hosted the first ever “Space Olympics”
The International Space Station hosted the first ever “Space Olympics”. Astronaut from France Tom Pesquet wrote about this on Twitter.
There were only four disciplines at the comic Olympics in zero gravity. Two teams of seven space athletes fought for the victory.
In the “free-style program without sex”, the best Russian Peter Dubrov was. He performed the exercise in zero gravity. Among the disciplines there was also handball without hands, where the ball could only be controlled by breathing.
In addition, the astronauts competed in synchronized swimming and fired rubber bands in zero gravity.
On the eve of the XXXII Olympic Games ended in Tokyo. They have become truly unique. Due to the pandemic, they were postponed for a year, the competitions were held without spectators.
