Israeli scientists have found that ozone is effective in the fight against coronavirus if this gas is used to disinfect premises. The results of these studies have already been published. It was conducted by scientists from Tel Aviv University, including Dr. Ines Zucker, head. Department of Engineering, Bar-Ilan University and Azriel College.
The new coronavirus can be destroyed indoors with ozone in a few minutes. And the advantage of this gas over liquid disinfectants lies in its ability to treat confined spaces almost instantly, including all hard-to-reach places and objects located there.
Ozone has long been used as an antibacterial and antiviral agent in water purification. Now its high efficiency for disinfection of premises has been confirmed.
Ozone treatment technology is inexpensive and affordable and can be used to disinfect hospitals, schools, hotels, and even airplanes.
One of the authors of the study, Dr. Ines Zucker, emphasizes that the advantage of ozone over conventional disinfectants such as alcohol and bleach lies in its ability to disinfect indoor objects, as well as the room itself, and not just open surfaces, quickly and safe for human health.
