Israeli Prime Minister urgently interrupted government meeting to talk with Putin – media

Netanyahu's negotiations with the Russian dictator lasted 50 minutes.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left the cabinet meeting to phone to talk to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

The Israeli publications The Times of Israel and Haaretz write about this.

The Prime Minister of Israel expressed dissatisfaction with some statements of Russian officials at the UN and other venues against Israel.

Netanyahu also sharply criticized relations between Russia and Iran as dangerous. At the same time, he thanked Putin for the release from captivity of HAMAM of an Israeli citizen who also has Russian citizenship.

In addition, Netanyahu asked Russia to put pressure on the Red Cross to provide visits and medical supplies to Hamas hostages.

As The Times of Israel notes, this conversation took place against the backdrop of tensions in relations with Russia.

Recall that on December 8, the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, at a meeting of the Security Council called Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity.”

Earlier, on October 26, a delegation of the terrorist organization Hamas visited Moscow on an official visit.

Israel condemned Russia at the invitation of the delegation, but Putin found an excuse for friendship and ties with Hamas.
