Israel has still not officially recognized the attack on the Iranian airbase or any other targets.
The Israeli army attacked a large Iranian air base in Isfahan in response to the Iranian attack that occurred on April 13. Tehran denies an external attack on its military facilities.
BILD writes about this.
“We did what we promised,” the publication quotes an anonymous Israeli official.
Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack on the airbase. But according to Israeli sources, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an hours-long war cabinet meeting in preparation for the attack.
On the morning of April 19, Iranian media reported three explosions in the area of the city of Isfahan, but Iranian authorities have still not brought charges against Israel and are generally silent about the missile attack.
“We had no incidents or damage,” Tehran said.
Tehran's subsequent statements look somewhat contradictory. According to one report, the Iranian army claimed to have shot down several drones. At the same time, one of the Iranian officials assured Western journalists that there was no “external attack on Iran.”
Israeli media reported that simultaneously with the attack on the air base in Iran, explosions were recorded in Syria and Iraq. However, there is no verified information yet about what exactly happened in these countries and whether Israel is involved in this.
Recall that The Jerusalem Post reported details of Israel's attack on Iran. The US confirmed that they were informed of the attack.
