The Israeli army attacked the Syrian military near Damascus. This is reported by the Syrian agency SANA.

According to the agency, the attack came from the Golan Heights in the southern outskirts of Damascus. Material damage was inflicted as a result of the air attack. According to RIA Novosti, some of the attacks were repelled by the Syrian air defense.

Earlier in November, three Syrian soldiers were killed in an Israeli army strike on the outskirts of Damascus. Another soldier was injured. The shelling was also conducted from the Golan Heights.

The Golan Heights, which belonged to Syria since 1944, was invaded by Israel during the 1967 Six Day War. In 1981, the Israeli parliament passed the Golan Heights law, which unilaterally proclaimed the country's sovereignty over the territory.
