“The Prime Minister of Israel must be able to say no – even to his closest friends,” Netanyahu said.
In addition, Netanyahu noted that he recognizes the civilian authorities of Gaza, that he “does not preach or teach the destruction of the state of Israel and does not send terrorists to Israel.” He said, “I would be happy if we could find Gazans who would do this,” hinting that he would not accept the Palestinian Authority.
