The IDF has resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced the return of the military to hostilities in the Gaza Strip after Hamas violated the terms of the truce.
The Times of Israel reports this.
He ordered the fire to resume on Friday morning after Hamas refused to fire 15 women and two children as part of a truce agreement.
“We are continuing exactly where we left off,” the minister said.
In addition, Gallant said he had inspected Gaza from the air and the border area from the ground over the past two days, calling the results of the restored IDF's offensive “impressive.”
“Thousands of terrorists were eliminated, dozens of headquarters (were destroyed – ed.), hundreds of terabytes of information are in our hands, hundreds of terrorists were captured and interrogated in Israel. Achievements – 110 hostages returned alive, no army in the world has achieved this in the fight against a terrorist organization. We achieved this thanks to the strength of the IDF,” Gallant added.
Let us recall that it was previously reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky fears that the war in Israel could affect support for Ukraine.
In addition, we previously reported that Israel and Hamas agreed to extend the truce for another day .
