Israeli citizens are prohibited from leaving home more than a thousand meters: the exception is trips to work, to buy food, essential goods, medicines, to help people in difficult situations, as well as to attend a funeral, court or Knesset, or to participate in various religious ceremonies and rituals. If someone wants to go to a park or a playground, it is allowed to do so – provided that these places are within a radius of one kilometer from the house.
Public transport and businesses will operate, but with restrictions, but entertainment and educational institutions, cafes and sports clubs will remain closed. At the same time, the participants in the competition are allowed to play sports in sports centers.
People cannot gather in companies of more than 10 people in closed spaces and more than 20 people in open spaces. To monitor compliance with the rules, the police have allocated a thousand officers, RIA Novosti notes.
According to the latest data, 175.2 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Israel; 1.1 thousand people died.
