Israel names ceasefire conditions in Gaza Strip

by alex

Israel agrees only to short tactical pauses.

Israel will not cease fire in the Gaza Strip until the terrorist group Hamas releases all hostages.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated this in an interview with ABC News .

“There will be no ceasefire, no general ceasefire in Gaza without the release of our hostages,” Netanyahu said.

At the same time, he did not rule out that there will be “small tactical pauses – an hour here, an hour there.”

“We have had them before – I assume that we will check the circumstances in order to allow the import of goods, humanitarian aid, or so that our hostages, individual hostages, can leave,” the official explained.

The Israeli prime minister said a ceasefire would only hinder the release of the hostages and the war effort.

“This will hinder our efforts to free the hostages, because the only thing that works on these Hamas criminals is the military pressure that we apply,” Netanyahu said.

Let us recall that it was previously reported that the Israeli military began to advance deeper into the city of Gaza, where an operation against Hamas militants is taking place .

In addition, we previously reported that Israel's permanent representative to the UN, Gilad Erdan, said that Russia is using the Hamas attack on Israel “in the most perverted way.”
