Israel May Transfer Russian Weapons Seized in Gaza and Lebanon to Ukraine

Despite calls to hand over weapons to Ukraine, Israel has so far refrained from changing its policy of neutrality.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk supported the proposal of Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel to hand over to Ukraine Russian weapons seized by the Israeli military from Gaza, Lebanon and Judea and Samaria.

The Times Of Israel writes about this.

“I welcome this proposal and hope that the State of Israel will approve it. The weapons produced in Russia and in the hands of terrorist organizations prove that Russia supports and encourages Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas and all those who seek to kill Israeli citizens and soldiers. What else needs to happen for the State of Israel to wake up and realize that Russia is acting aggressively against Israel behind the scenes, through partners in the axis of evil, and that Ukraine and Israel are fighting the same enemy,” said Yevgeny Korniychuk.

He expressed hope that the authorities will approve the transfer of weapons. At the same time, Israel is still adhering to a policy of neutrality and refraining from supplying weapons to Ukraine, and there are no signs of changes in this position yet.

Recall that Israel agreed to provide Ukraine with early warning systems for drones and missiles more than a year ago. The Israeli ambassador to Ukraine spoke about the shortcomings of the early warning system and what missiles it might not detect.
