Biden wants Israel to move to more precise tactics within three weeks.
US President Joe Biden's National Adviser Security Councilor Jake Sullivan said Israel could end its large-scale ground campaign in the Gaza Strip and move to a more focused phase in the war against the Hamas terrorist group.
The New York Times writes about this.
According to the publication, The United States is proposing that Israel attract smaller groups of elite forces that will enter and exit Gaza populated areas.
“President Biden wants Israel to move to more precise tactics within three weeks or soon thereafter, they said, as his national security adviser told Israeli officials during the meeting,” the message says.
At the same time, White House spokesman John Kirby Sullivan, during a meeting with Israeli officials, spoke about a possible transition to another phase “in the near future,” but refused to specify a time limit.
Let us add that Israel will be fighting in the Gaza Strip against Hamas for more than several months.
