The IDF in the south of the Gaza Strip has weakened the activity of military operations for humanitarian purposes. Now every day the Israeli military will cease fire for several hours.

Tel Aviv announced a local “tactical pause” to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

Daily 8-hour break

The IDF message states that from June 15, daily 8-hour breaks will be introduced in the operation in the southern Gaza Strip. They will last from 8:00 to 19:00 on the road that leads from the Kerem Shalom intersection to the Salah ad-Din road, and then north to the Khan Yunis area.

The Israeli military explained that they resorted to this step so that the Palestinians had the opportunity to receive humanitarian aid.

“As part of efforts to increase the volume of humanitarian aid reaching the Gaza Strip, and following additional discussions with the UN and international organizations, a local tactical pause in military activity has been declared starting Saturday,” the IDF said in a statement.

It should be noted that eight Israeli soldiers were killed in the Rafah area the day before. The IDF reported that the soldiers were in an armored personnel carrier, which was damaged by an explosion, after which it detonated.
