Israel canceled full quarantine when returning vaccinated with three doses of vaccine from abroad
The Israeli Ministry of Health allowed those vaccinated with three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine not to undergo quarantine when returning from the so-called “yellow” and “orange” countries. They include most of the popular foreign tourist destinations, RIA Novosti reports.
“Vaccinated people who received the third dose of the vaccine (one week after the vaccination), vaccinated people who have not yet passed six months from the date of receiving the second dose, who have recovered within six months after recovery, and who have recovered from the disease who received at least one dose of the vaccine, no longer in need of complete quarantine, ”the Ministry of Health of the country notes.
The department said that isolation for such travelers will be necessary for a day until negative results of a PCR test for coronavirus are obtained.
At the same time, this rule will not apply to those who have arrived from countries that are on the “red” list, where, according to the country's authorities, the most unfavorable epidemiological situation remains. Bulgaria, Brazil, Mexico and Turkey will be on the list from 31 August. Citizens arriving in the country from these states will be required to undergo a full weekly quarantine.
In Israel, the third coronavirus vaccine began to be given to all citizens of the country over 12 years old. According to head of government Naftali Bennett, the measures taken have led to a decrease in the growth in the number of seriously ill patients.
