Israel calls for Turkey to be expelled from NATO due to Erdogan's threats

Израиль призвал исключить Турцию из НАТО из-за угроз Эрдогана

Katz ordered diplomats to urgently engage with NATO members, calling for their condemnation of Turkey and demanding its expulsion from the alliance.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz called on NATO to expel Turkey over Erdogan's threats to send troops to Israel, similar to what Turkey did in Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh Karabakh.

This was reported by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

He emphasized that Turkey seriously violated the basic principles of NATO by threatening to invade a democratic Western country without any provocation. This, in his opinion, contradicts the joint statement of NATO, which states that the members of the alliance are committed to preserving freedom.

“Erdogan is following in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein and threatening to attack Israel. He should simply remember what happened there and how it ended. Turkey, where the headquarters of Hamas, which carries out terrorist attacks against Israel, is located, has become part of the Iranian axis of evil along with Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis in Yemen. I call on all NATO members to immediately exclude Turkey – Turkey has no place in NATO,” he said.

According to him, the United States and the Western world should condemn Erdogan and moderate his destructive activities.

Recall that Erdogan stated that Turkey could intervene in the situation with Israel to stop its actions in Palestine, although he did not reveal specific plans.
