The protective dome of the nuclear center in Arak was heavily damaged.
On Thursday, June 19, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out an air strike on a nuclear reactor in Iran, where, according to the Israeli side, weapons-grade plutonium for Iranian bombs was being produced.
A video of the strikes was released online.
In particular, the IDF shared footage taken directly from a homing bomb.
Also posted are side shots showing that the reactor in Arak was hit by several heavy bombs in a row.
IDF Spokesman Efi Defrin called the destruction of the nuclear reactor the main success of the Israeli military that day.
New satellite images show that the protective dome of the Arak nuclear centre has been badly damaged.
Ahead of the attack, the Israeli army called for the evacuation of residents near the Arak nuclear facility, saying its presence in the area was putting lives at risk.
Recall that Iranian authorities previously stated that the nuclear facility, located 250 km from Tehran, allegedly did not receive serious damage.
