The family moved to Israel in 2022. Little Nastya was treated for leukemia there.
The girl's father, Artem Burik, is a serviceman. He said that his daughter “was like a little angel.”
“Some children are capricious, throw tantrums, cry hysterically when you take something away from them, but not her. She was very calm. Her character was the same as my mother's – gentle, quiet. She never cried or complained,” he told the Daily Mail.
Konstantin and Ilya's mother Anna Peshkurova said she allowed her children to move to Israel so they wouldn't see the war. They cried because of the shelling, so the woman decided to let them go.
“Kosta, the youngest boy, always played in the children's group that our volunteers organized to free up the parents' time a little, but Ilya always came to our events for adults. He was very smart and loved to communicate with adults. He loved to tell all sorts of interesting things,” said a representative of the Chance4Life organization, which helped the family move to Israel.
In total, 9 people died in Bat Yam that night.
