Israel Attacks Iran's Nuclear Facility in Isfahan

On the night of Saturday, June 21, the Israeli Air Force launched a new series of strikes on dozens of targets in Iran, including the nuclear facility in Isfahan.

The Times of Israel reports this, citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

It is noted that about 50 IDF fighters were involved in the strikes, dropping 150 munitions.

The Israel Defense Forces says the strikes on Iran's Isfahan nuclear facility, which had already been attacked, were intended to further damage Tehran's nuclear program.

“A centrifuge plant and other Iranian regime military facilities in the Isfahan area were also hit within the facility,” the IDF said.

The Israeli military said it had caused “significant damage” to Iran's ability to produce centrifuges to enrich uranium.

Four Iranian ballistic missile launchers were also “neutralized” during the attack.

Israel also struck trucks used by Iran to launch drones, as well as ballistic missile storage facilities, air defense systems and radars, the IDF said.

The Iranian side also confirmed the Israeli strike in Isfahan, CNN reports. According to the deputy governor of the province, there was no leak of hazardous materials.

Recall that on June 13, Israel already attacked a nuclear facility in Isfahan. Nine scientists and experts involved in developing Tehran's nuclear program were killed. The IAEA said that four buildings were damaged as a result: the central chemical laboratory, a uranium processing plant, a fuel production facility for the Tehran reactor, and a facility for processing enriched uranium metal that was under construction.
