Previously, the Israeli army reported that operations had been carried out in Khan Yunis.

The UN said that Israel had announced to evacuate vast areas areas of Gaza's main southern city in Khan Yunis.

The Times of Israel writes about this with reference to the UN Board for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

The statement says that Israel has released maps showing new areas covering approximately 20 percent of Khan Yunis city that were marked for evacuation.

According to the UN, more than 110,000 people lived in the area before the fighting began. There are also 32 shelters housing more than 140,000 internally displaced people, most of whom were previously displaced from the north.

The publication noted that the Israeli army said on Wednesday that “ground, air and sea operations were carried out against dozens of terrorists and terrorist infrastructure” in the military command and control centers of Khan Yunis.

Recall that Israel offered Hamas a temporary ceasefire in order to clear the hostages, but the militants rejected this proposal.
