On the evening of October 29, about fifty guys of Turkish origin broke into the church of St. Anthony of Padua in Vienna. With shouts of “Allahu Akbar!” hooligans smashed everything that came to hand, smashed shops and church utensils in the font and the confessional. The priests called the police, but the Islamists fled before they arrived. However, cameras captured their atrocities.
The police believe that the attack was planned and carried out by a group of Islamist fanatics, in the area where the church is located, they have already attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies. Ten people, who not for the first time come to the attention of the police for various violations, have already been identified. It is true that they will be paid for it, they have not yet announced.
The church has been closed away from sin. And Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz wrote on Twitter that this case will not leave like that:
