Is Russia capable of large-scale offensive actions: a military expert assessed the enemy's resource Anzhelika Galesevich

ISW writes that the replenishment of the Russian army with new recruits will not allow it to conduct large-scale offensive operations in the summer in several directions. Since the new reserves cannot act as first and second echelon penetration forces.

Military expert Sergei Grabsky told Channel 24, which shares the opinion of American analysts. The enemy really does not have sufficient logistics capabilities to quickly accumulate resources in appropriate quantities to carry out an offensive on several operational sectors of the front.

Total imbalance in Russia

According to a military expert, the Russian-Ukrainian war is not just a war of people and clashes of individual units, but a war of units and equipment. To manage it effectively, you need to train crews. However, Russia does not have a training base on the scale required by the war. There is a certain limit to this, there is no need to demonize the enemy.

The Russians try to train their soldiers as much as possible, but do not always achieve the desired results. Especially with the colossal losses of human resources that we have now. Therefore, the enemy, having a large number of people, can only prepare the appropriate combat potential to a limited extent.

The limitations of his actions are connected with this. Also, the counterforce of the Ukrainian Defense Forces is growing, which forces the enemy to suffer heavy losses. That is why in the near future there is no talk that the enemy may concentrate some large group of troops somewhere. It is technically and operationally impossible to do this covertly and launch a large-scale offensive,” Grabsky emphasized.

The occupiers will continue to operate in open areas of the front. They will probably carry out diversionary operations in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. At the same time, it is observed that the current algorithm of enemy combat operations excludes the possibility of a qualitative change in the characteristics of battles into which they are forced to “throw firewood.”

Current losses of Russians in the war

As of June 10, the Russian army lost more than 519,750 invaders. Of these, 1,190 were destroyed within 24 hours on June 9. Russian losses in equipment are no less.
