Belarus does not have enough personnel and equipment at the training grounds to attack Ukraine.
Ukrainian intelligence sees no signs of the formation of strike groups in Belarus, indicating preparations for an offensive.
Advisor to the head of the President's Office Mikhail Podolyak said this in an interview with Report.
“We understand very well that Belarus is in the most difficult political situation, because it is an ally of the Russian Federation and provides Russia with the entire infrastructure for air attacks on the territory of Ukraine, provides repair and support infrastructure, gave away almost mothballed armored vehicles, etc. Lukashenka is very accurate noted that they will take part in any hostilities only on the territory of Belarus.Accordingly, Ukraine did not and does not have a goal to enter the territory of Belarus, just as there was no goal to enter the territory of the Russian Federation, this is the first .Secondly, we receive intelligence, we are constantly updated about what is happening in Belarus. We do not see the formation of shock assault columns there”, — commented Podolyak on Lukashenka's recent statement.
The politician noted that for a successful attack from Belarus there should be the necessary number of personnel and equipment. There are no such resources on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
“For an effective attack, groups of 70-80 thousand military personnel should be formed there, who should have 1.5-2 thousand different types of armored vehicles with them , 500-600 types of artillery pieces, and everything that is needed for further support. We do not see the formation of such a group, but we see periodic arrival there of partially mobilized Russian servicemen who are training at the Belorus training grounds and But I emphasize once again that we do not yet see the preparation of Belarus to participate in ground operations,” Podolyak emphasized.
Let us remind you that before the meeting with Putin, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced that his army would join the Russian war in the event of a direct attack on Belarus.
