Irish journalist Brian McDonald called the appearance of British Foreign Minister Liz Truss during a visit to Moscow ridiculous. He wrote about this on his Twitter.
McDonald posted a photo of Truss wearing a fur hat and fur coat and ridiculed her appearance. He pointed out that on that day in Moscow it was plus 2 degrees, which is warmer than in the evening in London. According to him, residents of the Russian capital dress like this at lower temperatures – from minus 14 degrees. “The locals laugh at her,” the journalist stated.
For greater contrast, McDonald suggested comparing Truss's clothes with the appearance of the British ambassador to Russia, Deborah Bronnert. “It looks even more ridiculous,” he concluded.
Liz Truss visited Moscow, where she held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, on February 10.
