Russia-related asset freezes continue around the world. For example, in Ireland, the total value of seized property is 1.72 billion euros.
This was announced by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ireland. He emphasized that this figure is relevant as of Friday, June 17. Soon this information was confirmed by Prime Minister Michael Martin.
The amount has almost doubled compared to April
Note that at the beginning April, it was said about frozen assets worth 839 million euros. The corresponding amount appeared in the EU document, which describes Russian property that fell under international sanctions.
Interestingly, it is not the oligarchs' yachts, luxury real estate or aircraft that dominate among the seized assets in Ireland. The lion's share falls on funds and special-purpose funds in the Dublin International Services Center.

Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, spoke about this initiative. She noted that the country's parliament will adopt the corresponding law in the near future.
Freeland thought about the corresponding idea together with US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. International partners have also joined the process. The Minister of Finance of Canada is convinced that now it is necessary to deal with the expansion of legal powers. This is an important step because soon Ukraine will require funds to restore its state.

Andrzej Duda is sure that sanctions against Russia should be preserved. And this should happen until Ukraine, which was attacked by the aggressor country, says that they can be removed.
For now, the sanctions pressure should only increase. This will make the situation in Russia so unbearable that its dictator will himself express a desire to start a negotiation process.
