Iran's leadership has called on citizens who may have had contact with Israel to voluntarily come forward by June 22. Otherwise, they will be treated as spies and tried under martial law.

This was stated in a statement by the General Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, which was published by TRT Haber.

The document says Iran is ready to grant “Islamic amnesty” to those who admit their guilt.

“Those who were deceived by Israel and who knowingly or unknowingly established any ties with the Zionist regime may be exempted from punishment under the Islamic amnesty if they themselves declare this to the competent authorities on 1 Tirah (June 22),” the official statement said.

The amnesty also applies to unconscious contacts with Israel, but the recognition period is limited to June 22.

After this date, anyone who fails to report their activities will be considered a “fifth column” and will be prosecuted for espionage.

A separate section of the document notes that anyone caught with drones, weapons, communications equipment or other military equipment will face immediate and harsh responses without mitigation.

Earlier it was reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Istanbul and discussed the escalation of tensions between Tehran and Israel.

We previously reported that US President Donald Trump tried to secretly arrange a meeting between senior US and Iranian officials in Istanbul.
