The agreements between Iran and Russia on the development of aviation may serve to ensure that Tehran redistributes its zones of influence in the Middle East region to other countries. This opinion was expressed by the TASS correspondent Nikita Smagin in his Telegram channel “Duty for Iran”.
He pointed out how Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Khatami spoke in an interview with Al Jazeera about the agreements between Tehran, Moscow and Beijing. In particular, they relate to military cooperation at a new stage after the lifting of the arms embargo against the Islamic Republic.
Smagin suspected Khatami that his interview was aimed at the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf. Tehran is allegedly hinting at sitting down on the negotiating table and delimiting the zones of influence.
On October 18, Iran announced the lifting of the arms embargo on the country. Now Tehran can sell and buy weapons. In addition, restrictions on entry into the territory of UN member states and transit through them, previously imposed on a number of Iranian civil and military officials, have ceased to apply to the republic.
